cloud computing data center

Yesterday at Microsoft’s 10th annual Microsoft Management Summit 2009, Microsoft gave the world a glimpse of how the datacenter will be evolving from today, into tomorrow, and into the area of cloud-based computing. Microsoft’s key focus was around the virtualized environments of tomorrow’s datacenters, and how a plethora of mobile wireless devices will connect to the cloud.

Brad Anderson, general manager of the Management and Services Division at Microsoft, said regarding today’s datacenter, “IT is faced with a growing set of end-user demands and business-critical expectations around service availability [through] familiar tools that provide a complete view of service levels, applications, infrastructure and clients.” However, the manner in which this will be delivered to customers is changing.
